2021 Fixtures and Events

Dear Members,

I hope that everyone is staying safe and well during this latest lockdown.  Whilst the current situation remains serious, given the remarkable progress being made in the vaccine roll out, let’s hope we can look forward to better times and a gradual return to a more normal life as the year progresses.   I’m sure many of us are looking forward to getting back out on our golf course(s) and seeing our friends.

With that in mind, I am pleased to advise the dates for our proposed 2021 fixtures, which will allow Members to start planning their diaries.  Obviously, these events come with a Covid-caveat (especially the earliest fixtures), but let’s hope that as the year progresses, more and more of these matches will be able to take place.   The match dates are now live on our website so please do sign up and indicate your interest where applicable.  I know our Match Managers will greatly appreciate your early support.

Apologies that this year’s fixture list has taken longer than usual to confirm.  I was hoping for a smoother start to the year but the combination of new office holders getting up to speed (Hon Sec., Fixtures Sec.), and lockdown issues (golf club closures, staff furloughs, etc. plus the joys of home schooling!) have all delayed matters.  My thanks to everyone who has helped to get this over the finishing line, especially Stephen Tillie our new Fixtures Secretary.

The formal fixture cards will be printed and posted as soon as possible.  If any members have changed jobs, or moved house in the last year, please check that your addresses are correct on your website profile.
